Taipei - July 2012

I know right, it was long time ago but it is up now :)

Our hostel of the trip. Highly recommended. 台北猪窝 is located somewhere around Taipei Main Station (台北车站), a very convenient place where you can take MRT easily, and also bus to Tao Yuan Airport. After we settled everything, it was already 7pm. So we decided to go Shilin night market to have some TAIWAN FOOD.

I don't know why, Shilin falls below my expectation. I only managed to get a pair of flat and an elmo pluggy. Food was so so only.

DAY 2

鲁肉饭 + 蛤蜊汤 for breakfast. Just a random stall nearby our hostel.

Then we off to 西门町. Must try 阿宗面线, very famous mee suah in Xi Men Ding. There is no table in the shop. Again, we can't get any nice clothes there, double disappointed! But Xi Men Ding is really huge, give yourself roughly 3 hours to shop. We planned to go Mr J's Kitchen (Jay Chou's Restaurant), and we were having hard time to search for that as everyone we asked have no idea where is it. We end up went to Shi Da night market 师大夜市

师大夜市 - I personally think that it has wider range of stuffs.

Not to forget top up your 优游卡. A touch&go-like card that allows you to purchase stuffs in 7-11 and get 20% discount for MRT ticket.

DAY 3

台铁便当 as breakfast. We get it from the MRT station, just a 5 minutes walking distance from our hostel. It is a very common breakfast for Taiwanese as they can have breakfast before go to work/school.

Next station -国父纪念馆. Erm, we decided to go there because our itinerary is full of shopping places. We feel that we should have visit some historical places.

Off to 五分埔商圈. FYI, Wu Fen Pu is closed on Monday for wholesale purchases. So you know when should you go.

We took MRT to Taipei 101 station and store our stuffs in the computerize locker.

We had our dinner at 台北101 and enjoyed the night view of Taipei 101.

DAY 4:

We rented 2 cars to go to 野柳, 九份, 十分, and 基隆 as it is quite hard to reach there by public transport. The driver is very nice. If you are interested in these places, you can call
Mr. Yang 0932-358-228 / +886932358228

九份 must eat: 螺

highly recommended

Must eat: Fish ball

Must eat: 阿柑姨宇圆

九份- 秘密基地- 换装

十分: Each 天灯costs NTW150. Each colour represents different aspects

放天灯咯~ 顺顺利利

Group photo.

Complimentary gift from the driver. FIREWORKS! my first time putting fireworks

We get most of our sport shoes from Kee Long night market (基隆夜市).
And these are our 战利品. 6 of us! 50% of these come from Kee Long night market.

DAY 5:
Free activity: We were back to Xi Men Ding again. Everyone are given second chance to grab their regret-din-buy stuff. hahaha!

Dinner at 争鲜- Sushi bar. NTW30 for all plates!
Went to 公馆 to try out the famous 青蛙撞奶, pearls are really sweet.

DAY 6:

淡水鱼仁码头

淡水老街: tried 阿给 and bought some 铁蛋.
Some may prefer 阿婆铁蛋 but I prefer others. 阿婆铁蛋 is too hard for me.

Dinner at Dazzling Cafe. I feel it is overrated and not worth for money. Everyone MUST order a drinks and their drinks is not cheap at all. Environment ok, but I dont think their food and staffs are nice.

Famous honey toast. I cant recall the name of this toast.

DAY 7:

Hello Kitty check in counter. We were not taking this flight :(

Bye

Must Buy Tips : My Beauty Diary Mask (我的美丽日记), Sport Shoe (Nike, adidas...), Birken Stock (cheaper compared to M'sia), 铁蛋, Pineapple tart (recommend 佳德/ChiaTe)

Day 7: Bye Taipei

I'm ok

Hi there, I just came back from Melbourne couples of days ago. An awesome trip with awesome people. Sad thing is, this week gonna be a super hectic week. 4 test, 2 assignments, and a presentation in a row.

I will blog about my Taiwan trip (July 2012) soon Oppss, nearly 3 months! and Melbourne trip as well.

I love travelling. Different people behave differently in different places. I get to know their way of living during my short stay. I told myself, adopt their good not their bad. Be a wise person, step out and see what is happening around the world. There is one universe, 9 planets, 204 countries, 809 islands, and 7 seas erm, this quote is often used by couples to show how they love each other, lol. We are just too tiny in this universe, don't bother too much k? Things happen for a reason, learn- if it is a lesson for you. You can sad, cry, shout, or anything, but don't let the period last long. Nothing will stop because of you.

I was quite emo last month because of some reasons, but I am OK now! I am able to let go people that I don't deserve, forget things that upset me and stay with my love ones. I see sunshine! I am happy! I am doing well without you.

22 on the 22nd

Was busy working during the Raya break, an eyewear roadshow in Queensbay Mall. This was the 4th consecutive years since 2009, and probably the last year. I am gonna graduate next year!

Grace and Irene surprised me on the last working day as my birthday falls on the next day. I was so upset initially because no one seems like wanna go out with me. Grace wanted to go home so early, Irene didn't find me, Jack said wanna go home and sleep, and sis is working on the next day.

Grace told me that Wan Ling is singing at Station One, she said she wants to meet her since they haven't met up for so long. So, we went to Station One. The door was locked and we have to use the main entrance to enter Station One. I was busy searching Wan Ling through the transparent wall and saw some guys with switcher t shirt inside. I thought it was a coincidence, nothing much.

Then, I heard birthday song! OMG! Never thought that they will stay back and celebrate my birthday with me. Thanks for the hard work Irene and Grace, thanks for buying me a birthday cake Jack and Shan, thanks for the treat Shan, and all of you for scarifying your sleeping time.

I am so thankful to have such lovely friends. Thanks for everything!

Went out with Gracey and Reney on my birthday. Was a lil bit upset as somebody ppk me on my bday. The feeling is real bad. No one with me on that night, just like being left out like that. Luckily I have my girls to cheer me up. Thankiu!

Sushi Tei with my girls. Get to meet Mei Xun finally.

China House with family.

The Lau's

Lastly, Happy Birthday to myself.

Let go

Wake up . Let go . and . Move on...

If it is not yours, it won't be yours no matter how hard you have tried. So, is time to let go.

I feel kind of relieve right now, at least I have made up my mind. Remember,

" Some people come into your life just to teach you how to let go "

Gotta enjoy my holiday in Taiwan! =)

I will visit Japan again

All these photos are two-months-old since I came back from Japan. I like the culture there, their living standard, their attitude, their packaging and etc. I would like to work there if I were given such opportunity. Oh, one more thing, they like to queue!

These are some random photos taken in Japan. Visit my Facebook for more photos. Let's the picture do the talking.

#1 Love the weather. FYI, I was there during spring (end of March - beginning of April). Not too cold compared to winter. Just nice to dress up nicely XD

#2 First stop - Universal Studio @ Osaka

#3 Elmo! How cute!

#4 Saw this in the outdoor carpark of Universal Studio. The electric car charging station in the carpark. Not sure whether is free or not.

#5 Bullet train with the speed of 300+km/h. Not the fastest in the world but try imagine, you will need only 1hr to travel from KL to Pg and everyone can afford that. Japanese railways are among the most punctual in the world.

"The average delay on the Tokaido Shinkansen in fiscal 2006 was only 0.3 minutes. When trains are delayed for as little as five minutes, the conductor makes an announcement apologizing for the delay and the railway company may provide a "delay certificate" (遅延証明書), as no one would expect a train to be this late. Japanese passengers rely heavily on rail transit and take it for granted that trains operate on time. When trains are delayed for an hour or more, it may even appear in the newspaper." - Wikipedia

#6 梅花

#7 Self-capture @ Gotemba Heiwa Koen (Peace Park)

#8 Just simply love this photo.

#9 That's what we called as crystal clear.

#10 Mount Fuji

#11 Sashimi. I'm drooling now! Fresh and nice.

#12 A must-visit-place in Japan - Uniqlo.

#13 Japanese cars are awesome. They rely heavily on quality. You can't see Toyota Vios, Altis, Camry, Honda City, Civic, Accord in Japan as these models are considered as second-class to them. Japanese buy cars which are manufactured in Japan and those Toyota and Honda we see in Malaysia are assembled in Thailand.

#14 Panoramic view of Tokyo City @ Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

#15 Cheese flavored ice-cream in 7 eleven. MUST try!

#16 Last stop: Disneyland, Tokyo

#17 Family photo with sakura

#18 Getting ready for the parade.

#19 Souvenir bucket from Disneyland.

#20 Variety of bubble hair dye.

#21 Packing counter in department store. Everything is provided, plastic bags, scissor, pen knife, tape. Customers will have to pack their own stuffs.

#22 Kitkat that you can only see in Japan (Wasabi/ cheesecake/ strawberry/ matcha/ sakura and etc flavored) Regret for not bringing all flavor back to Malaysia. :(

#23 Night life @ Shinjuku. A happening place in Tokyo.

#24 A place/partition for you to keep your footwear.

#25 Matcha ice cream. 250 yen for one (~RM10)

#26 This is wasabi

#27 Postcard to Malaysia.
